Reduce file sizes with practical browser-based tools. No account required for supported operations. Images, PDFs, archives, and code — compressed on your device.
Real processing in your browser. Honest size reports. No inflated claims.
Supported tools run entirely in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to our servers for compression.
We show original size, result size, percentage reduction, and processing time from actual output — never simulated numbers.
We never promise every file will shrink to 10%. Lossless and quality options are explained clearly for each format.
Responsive interface for phones, tablets, and desktops. No account required for core tools.

Zcompression is a free, browser-based collection of file compression and utility tools. The project was created to give people practical ways to reduce image, document, and archive sizes without sending private files to unknown servers for every simple task.
Working tools for image compression and conversion (JPEG, PNG, WebP), PDF operations (merge, split, rotate, extract, images↔PDF), ZIP archive creation and extraction, source-code minifiers, and general file utilities such as size calculation and SHA-256 hashing. Each tool is implemented with client-side JavaScript and, where needed, well-known open-source libraries loaded from public CDNs.
For supported operations, your file stays in the browser’s memory. The script reads it, processes it with Canvas, JSZip, pdf-lib, or native APIs, and produces a downloadable result. We do not operate a file-upload backend for compression. Browser extensions, analytics, or advertising scripts (if you later enable them) can still observe page activity; local processing reduces but does not eliminate all privacy considerations.
Browser memory and CPU limit maximum file size and complexity. Encrypted or heavily protected PDFs may fail. Advanced video re-encoding and some archive formats require capabilities that typical browsers do not expose. When a feature cannot run, the interface explains why rather than showing a fake progress bar.
We never guarantee that every file will shrink to a fixed percentage. Already-compressed formats (JPEG, MP3, modern video) often gain little from further lossless packaging. Lossy quality settings can reduce size further at the cost of fidelity — and we label those options clearly.

Zcompression is a static website intended for free hosting (e.g. Blogger). This policy describes how information is handled.
Core compression and utility tools are designed to run in your browser. The JavaScript reads the file you select, processes it locally, and offers a download. Those file contents are not intentionally transmitted to a Zcompression server because no such upload endpoint is part of this implementation.
We use localStorage only to remember your theme preference (dark/light) and, optionally, a short list of recently used tool IDs for the current browser. No file contents are written to localStorage.
If the site is hosted on Blogger or another free host, the host may log IP addresses, user-agent strings, and request metadata according to its own policy. If you enable Google Analytics, Google AdSense, or similar services, those providers process data under their respective privacy policies and may use cookies. This policy does not claim that “no data is ever collected” when third-party scripts are present.
Some tools load open-source libraries (for example JSZip, pdf-lib) from public CDNs. Your browser requests those scripts from the CDN provider.
You can clear localStorage, block cookies, or disable JavaScript. Without JavaScript the interactive tools will not run.

By using Zcompression you agree to these terms.
Use the tools for lawful purposes only. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, overload browsers with extreme files in a way intended to harm, or use the tools to process content you do not have rights to handle.
Tools are provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that every file will compress by a stated percentage. Browser limits, corrupted inputs, and encrypted documents can cause failures.
Keep backups of important files. Verify output quality before discarding originals. You are responsible for compliance with copyright and privacy laws applicable to the files you process.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, operators of Zcompression are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or tools.
Terms may be updated; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
Compression results vary. Already-compressed formats may not shrink much — or may grow slightly when re-encoded or wrapped. Lossy settings trade quality for size. We do not guarantee any specific reduction percentage, including 10% of original size.
Lossless methods preserve exact pixel or bit data (within format constraints). Lossy methods discard information. Tools that offer quality sliders are lossy when quality is reduced below maximum.
Large files may fail due to memory limits. Encrypted PDFs, unusual color spaces, animated formats, and proprietary codecs may not be fully supported. Video tools depend on browser codec support and are limited compared with desktop software.
This site is a utility, not legal, archival, or professional document-processing advice.
Always keep original files until you have verified the output.
